NBA Lockout Who's Fault Is It!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The NBA Lockout is a crazy thing. The owners have locked out the players because they don't like the agreement that was agreed on in the last collective bargaining agreement. Yes they had an opt out clause that they exercised on July 1st 2011. I am usually on the players side in any sports dispute. This time I am on neither side. The owners as always are greedy and want to control the players as much as possible. Just like the owners of the slaves centuries ago, the owners want total control period. The players meanwhile can only blame themselves for this situation. Why? For one they have become fat cats with the guaranteed contracts, they think they can act any way they please because the contract is guaranteed. There are very few out clauses in a standard NBA contract for it to be terminated. So instead of working on improving their game, they just sit back and drag their butts up and down the court knowing the club still has to pay them. Doesn't matter if their performances are garbage they still get paid. Also the quality of play in the NBA has gone on a downward spiral for a number of years now. These kids only play for the money and not for the love of the game, I can count on one hand the skilled players in the NBA. You would think with better technology and weight training the players would be better? Too many players today depend on their athleticism instead of their basketball skills. I would say 80% of the players in the league are there because of their physical talent and not basketball skill level. Another thing: and this is a personal thing with me, I don't like seeing players on the floor tatted up all over their body. To me it looks like a bunch of thugs running up and down the court. Not saying they are actually thugs because some of them are nice people I am sure. It is just not a good look to me and a bunch of other people I know. This is one of the reasons attendance is down all over the league. Another one is most Americans cannot afford the ticket prices, part of this is the economy. Another part is alot of people don't want to go see bad basketball, a bad product. I used to be able to watch an entire NBA Game on television in the 80's and 90's. Now I try to even watch a playoff game and I go to sleep after about 6 minutes in the 1st quarter. A last reason I don't go to NBA Games anymore is too much entertainment crap and noise in the timeouts. What happened to talking to the person beside you about what just happened on the court during breaks in the action? Now it's just convoluted NOISE NOISE NOISE ALL OVER THE PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!  Myself I would rather watch a good high school game or college game even though the entertainment crap has creeped into the college game also. As it is I say shorten the guaranteee contracts then maybe these kids will play for love of the game and we will get a better product on the floor. This is my rant for today. God Bless and Peace to the Creatures.

Ordinance About Pants Worn to Knees!!!!!!!!!!!

I found out yesterday in my local barber shop that my Evanston Township here in Illinois is putting out an ordinance saying you can't wear your pants below your waist. I think the penalty will be a fine of some kind, this has been done in other cities in the United States, Philadelphia, and Lynwood,Illinois for example. So far these ordinances seem to work, but some folks in my barber shop was saying this ordinance is discriminatory. Of course I about went ballistic saying it's pathetic for anybody to defend that position. This ordinance does affect more African American kids than anything. Why? Because our kids are the ones wearing their pants down to their knees. How far should they go? To their calves, ankles, before long they will be wearing just underwear. To me this is indecent exposure, I for one do not want to see someone's underwear especially not a man's. Somebody in the shop did say why don't you go after women for showing cleavage? And I say to that sure, the ordinance should fine women for showing cleavage in public. I for one hope the ordinance passes because these young men need to show some dignity and respect for themselves by wearing your pants correctly and with a belt. And the original premise of wearing your pants down came from jail. In jail it was to show the other men in the prison that you are available. You folks know what I mean by "available"? So to want to fit in by wearing your pants that way shows me either you are ignorant, or have no respect for yourself. I know I am not going to allow any kid or aybody to come to my house wearing pants that show their underwear. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So for the kids that read this wearing your pants past your waist is not being cool. I might be telling other men that you are "available". This is my rant for today. God Bless and Peace to the Creatures. Have a safe Labor Day Weekend!!!!!!!!
