One And Done:Is It a Good Rule Or Bad?????

All of a sudden there's lots of talk about one and done, now that Kentucky has won the National Championship. Funny wasn't such outrage before this, is it because Calipari won as a Coach? I think so, I see lots of complaints, even from Kentucky fans about the rule. Thing is people want to make the players stay 2 or 3 years of college. Don't these people realize they are supporting Communism with this stance? These kids should have a right to go to work and pursue their dreams. I think it should go back to the high school rule, they can come to the NBA right out of high school. And if they are ready after 1,2,3, or 4 years, or never so be it. There should be no restrictions on when a player wants to take his talents (Lebron James) to the NBA. It's not about quality of the game, it's about a right to work after turning 18. This age is considered an adult in this country. No uproar about 18 year olds going to the service, then to Afghanistan or some faraway country. Go and fight and some come back in a box. Also no uproar in other individual sports, or minor sports like soccer. Heck you see golfers turning pro at 14, and no problem. Is it because the majority of basketball players are black? Most whites will not say so but it's definitely on their mind. Or is it jealousy and envy because these same folks don't have the ability to jump to the NBA? They have student loans piling up, or mommy and daddy are paying for their education. As for worrying about them spending all their money and going broke? Well that's none of anybody's business but them and their family. Then there's the NC AA-HOLES, universities, coaches shoe contracts, etc and the players are seeing none of that money. Well this is how I feel and this is my rant for today. God Bless everyone and Peace To The Creatures.

Kentucky Reloading And In A Hurry!!!!!!!!!!!

Kentucky lost all 5 starters on Tuesday to the NBA Draft. Most programs this would be disastrous, but not at UK. And not with John Calipari coaching, Anthony Davis,Michael Kidd-Gilchrist,Terrance Jones,Doron Lamb, and Marquis Teague. All are headed to NBA riches and first round draft picks. But as they say for Kentucky "We Don't Rebuild, We Reload". McDonald's All-Americans Archie Goodwin and Alex Pothyress are coming aboard as is Top 40 Willie Cauley. And the center coming is Nerlens Noel considered one of the best high school shot blockers in 10 years. Noel would have been McDonald's All-American but reclassified too late in the selection process. Add to Kyle Wiltjer coming back, and transfer Ryan Harrow coming in from sitting out, this will be a monster team again. Not quite the same as this years National Championship outfit, but talented nonetheless. Thing is will they develop the same chemistry as this years team? And Calipari may not be done: Anthony Bennett from Las Vegas, and Amile Jefferson from Philadelphia have Kentucky on their lists. Right now the starting lineup will be:Harrow-pg,Goodwin-sg,Pothyress-sf,Wiltjer-pf, and Noel-C. Big Blue Nation do not expect a lot out of this team yet, it will take some time to develop chemistry. This will be an annual thing every year in exercising patience with Kentucky teams. This lineup has just about everything, perimeter shooting, slashing ability in the dribble drive, and inside play. Thing is don't know how much post play we will get, and Wiltjer is the only proven knock down 3 point shooter. Noel's offensive game in the post needs to really develop, and UK will need one more knock down 3 point shooter in the lineup. Calipari will have this team playing great defense sooner rather than later. Enjoy next season my fellow Big Blue Nation folks. I sure will, this is my rant for today. God Bless and Peace To The Creatures.
