Illinois Class 4A Supersectional Matchups!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the last step before the State Finals in Peoria. Last weeks Sectional Finals were blowouts all over the state. Here are what I think of the matchups: 1) SIMEON(CHICAGO)-EVANSTON at Chicago State: This is probably the biggest mismatch left in the state, on one side you have 2 time Defending State Champ Simeon(32-1) with junior Jabari Parker (6-8) considered by most the Number 1 player in the nation regardless of class and another of the nations best juniors in Kendrick Nunn(6-2), also Marquette signee Steve Taylor along with at least 4 other Division I prospects. The other side you have Evanston my hometown team scrappy old high school team with no Division I prospects. They are 22-10 and have struggled at times this season. Their best player is Josh Irving(5-11), and Southern Illinois football signee Leonard Garron(6-4). This is probably the least talented Evanston team in awhile but they are here one step from State Finals. My prediction:Simeon marches on rather easily(sorry my fellow Evanston fans). 2) WARREN(GURNEE) vs AUBURN(ROCKFORD) at Dekalb: This is size vs speed matchup, Warren has the size with Toledo signee Nathan Boothe (6-9) and Western Michigan signee Darius Paul (6-8), also Jovaughn Gaines( 6-3) in the backcourt they will try and pound the glass like they have all season. Not a good three point shooting team but they are great 15 foot and in. Auburn has probably the best pure point guard in the state in Wichita State signee Fred Van Fleet who averages 25 points and 8 assists a game. His running mate LaMarque Foote (6-3) senior in the backcourt will have to push the tempo. This is a good team as I saw them at the Proviso West tournament. They are in their second straight Supersectional. As it is I have Warren marching to the State Finals for second consecutive year.  3)PROVISO EAST(MAYWOOD) VS AURORA(WEST) at Hinsdale Central- Proviso East is undefeated(32-0) and still stuck as Number 2 in the state behind Simeon, they could prove everyone wrong this week. They are lead by St Louis signee point guard Keith Carter (6-0) who is another steal for a mid major as is Van Fleet. East is the quickest team I have seen since Westinghouse 2000 2A State Runner Up. They have Paris Burns(6-0) and Paris Lee(6-0) terrorizing guards along with Sterling Brown (6-4) junior who is a jack of all trades. West Aurora has Juwan Starks(6-4) and some quick guards but I think Proviso East goes downstate. 4) EDWARDSVILLE VS BLOOM(CHICAGO HEIGHTS)at Bloomington I will admit I have not seen Edwardsville at all this year as they are down in deep southern illinois near St Louis. Bloom has underrated point guard Donald Moore (6-0) along with other quick 6-2 to 6-4 athletes who won the Big Dipper at Christmas time. I will go out on a limb and say Bloom will win even though the Southern Illinois representative has won this Super the last two years. There you have it I have SIMEON VS BLOOM and PROVISO EAST VS WARREN downstate in Peoria. Blessings to all the teams playing tomorrow night. GO EVANSTON WILDKITS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Black History Month And Slavery Still Exists Today!!!!!!!!!!

We celebrate Black History Month here in February. I for one celebrate Black History every day, I don't need a month that the white man commissioned to celebrate it for me. And slavery still exists today, it's economic and psychological now more than ever. The brainwashing of black folks still goes on and black folks just go along with what white folks tell them. We need to read more, and find out more about our rich history not just this month but every day. More and more of our history is being wiped out of the books by the white establishment. Just think what kind of power black folks would have if we researched our history and found out we have done amazing things. We need to stop paying attention to television,internet, and other things put out there negative about black folks. The white establishment acts like we are the only ones killing folks and robbing folks, etc. And this so called "Hip Hop" music of today is really brainwashing our youth. They think tattoos, and calling each other the 'N" word is cool and a good thing. These type of things are keeping us black folks in a slavery mindset. We need more doctors,lawyers, people who can give us economic power. Whether you like it or not money is power in this world, and white folks still have more of it than other races. The White establishment runs the music,entertainment,media industries and what do you think they are going to put out? Positive images of white folks and negative images of black folks. Look at the white man's dictionary (Webster's) for instance? Look at the definitions for black and white and that should tell you someting. So for black history month(which is the shortest month on the calendar by the way) do some research on black history positive and negative and learn something abut our people. If you don't want to do it every day (which you should) at least do it this month. You only have 29 days to do it. This is my rant for today. God Bless and Peace to the Creatures.

Evangelical Christians Are Not Real Christians!!!!!!!

I say this after seeing these bozos vote big time for Newt Gingrich in the South Carolina Primary. Yes Mitt Romney is Mormon but Gingrich left his first 2 wives when they become ill. Also he asked both for open marriages. Yeah real Christian like folks, also these evangelicals try to force people into doing what they want to do. Christians are supposed to lead their life by example to bring people to Christ. Also I think evangelicals are racist which I find ironic. Jesus Christ was not racist or political, he loved ALL PEOPLE!!!!!!!!! These bozos would vote anyone in office because they don't want a bi-racial President in the White House. No I am not perfect by any means, I am a sinner that has to ask for forgiveness and repent just like everyone else. At least I try my best to follow the example of Jesus Christ. By the way I am not a Republican or Democrat, I think the two party system is designed to divide, and also confuse Christians. Back to Gingrich if these evangelicals want to have him as their leader, talk about following a path to hell according to the Bible smh. Wow we as Christians are supposed to help shape policy as best we can by getting out the message of Jesus Christ. Not only by witnessing but by example, and these evangelicals voting for Gingrich is not setting a good example at all for Real Christians. If you want to vote for as Christian vote for President Barack Obama. At least he is a Christian(not a Muslim) and has a wife and family. And by chance if he was cheating wouldn't we know about it? You know the Republicans have done a lot of digging to get some dirt on him. Evangelicals if you want to show you are Real Chrisitans then try voting for the one who has shown true Christian Values........President Barack Obama. Finally I am suspicious of President Obama's motives with the people but he's better than the alternative, unless you vote independent or Libertarian. This is my rant for today. Sexual Molestation Of Boys By Sandusky And Fine!!!!!!!!

This is a touchy subject because it involves boys as young as 10 years old. First Jerry Sandusky who was a long time assistant football coach and defensive coordinator for Penn State from 1977-1999. He has allegedly molested at least 10 boys over the years. In my opinion I think there is alot more because a person doesn't become a child predator overnight. And I think he started this Second Mile charity to ferry out the boys, alot like trafficing sex to other sexual predators in the area. Funny thing is the county district attorney who didn't prosecute Sandusky in 2001 disappeared in 2005 and was recently declared dead. The media is not talking much about that at all, it is very suspicious. Also I think Joe Paterno knew more than he has let on, this summer he sold his house to his wife for $1. I find this very suspicious too, you can draw your own conclusions about that one. I will say more will come out by the day. As for Bernie Fine the former assistant basketball coach at Syracuse for over 30 years more and more men are coming forward by the day. And his wife Laurie Fine is just nasty, knowing about the sexual assaults and not saying anything. Then having sex with the boy herself and suppposedly other members of the Syracuse basketball team over decades. The state of New York recently said the statute of limitations has run out for them to charge Fine. But the Federal Government is prepared to go full force after Bernie Fine. Not sure how much Jim Boeheim the Head Coach knew but at least he is trying to be sensitive now and help, once more evidence has come out recently. I say there should be no statute of limitations when it comes to sexual assault on a child. They need to change those laws. More to come I am sure on both of these cases. This is my rant for today. Top 5 Illinois Basketball Players Class of 2012!!!!!!!!

As I have said many times this is one of the weakest senior classes in Illinois history. Only one player in the Top 100 in the country. Here we go: 1) STEVE TAYLOR-SIMEON(CHICAGO)--- 6 foot 8 Marquette commit is the only Illinois player in Top 100 in the country has a nice 3 point shot and face up game. Rebounding has improved and so has his ball handling. Will be a key cog to the number 1 team in the country. Problem is he will have to learn to play small forward on the next level by improving his dribble drive game and defense. 2) MARLON JOHNSON---WEST(JOLIET)---6 foot 9 he can put the ball on the floor and has a mid range game. Him being Number 2 is more on potential than anything else. Very good rebounder and shot blocker. This kid has a lot of upside especially coming from playing Freshman B basketball and having a growth spurt. Whomever signs him could be getting a special talent. 3)KEITH CARTER-PROVISO EAST(MAYWOOD)---- 6 foot 0 yes I have him higher than some scouts do. He has impressed me with his floor game and the speed he plays at. He plays with so much more control than earlier in his career. Good three point shot and can get into the paint and create shots for himself and teammates. Decommitted from Loyola-Chicago but will find a school that suits his skills soon enough. 4) MILTON DOYLE-MARSHALL(CHICAGO)---- 6 foot 4 junkyard dog does it all for Marshall, had to sit out a season because of transfer, hits the boards and flies down the floor,blocks shots. Problem is the will have to learn how to play in the back court to play on a high level in college. 5) AARON SIMPSON-NORTH CHICAGO---- 6 foot 0 Illinois State commit is a stone cold scorer, can create any shot he wants for himself and can score in bunches. Problem for him will be is he a point guard or a shooting guard? He's too small to be an effective shooting guard and doesn't have the mindset of a point. But he is fun to watch. Some will say why Michael Orris of Crete Monee(Crete) is not in my top 5? he's a very good player just not sure he's a point guard? And Mike LaTulip is a small scoring guard, also not sure he's a point guard but exciting to watch. This is my rant for today. Peace to the Creatures and God Bless.   

Top 5 High School Basketball Teams in Illinois 2011-2012

Last year I correctly picked Chicago Simeon to win the State 4A Basketball title last year. I am picking Simeon once again this year to win a third straight title. here we go: 1) Simeon(Chicago)- This is one of the most talented teams of all time in the State of Illinois starting with Jabari Parker 6-8 junior forward. He's considered the best player in the country regardless of class. You also have the top senior in the state of Illinois in Steve Taylor 6-8 forward committed to Marquette, next is Top 30 junior nationally Kendrick Nunn 6-1 shooting guard can jump out of the gym. The point guard is 6-0 senior Jelani Neely who tore his ACL in June, he's due back beginning of December. Fifth starter is DeLaSalle(Chicago) transfer 6-2 junior Jaylen Tate who is a pure point guard. Bench strength starts with 6-5 junior Kendall Pollard, also you have 5-4 junior Lawrence Briggs, along with two fantastic freshman DJ Williams 6-6 and Brandon Hutton 6-4 also 6-2 senior Tarrell Green, 5-11 senior Dwaun Stewart and 5-9 senior Brandon Clemmons. 2) Whitney Young(Chicago)- Probably the most talented team in Illinois even possibly more than Simeon. Start with Colorado State commit Jermaine Morgan 6-8, you also have two of the Top 10 sophmores in the country in Jahlil Okafor 6-10  center and 6-8 guard/forward Paul White. Also have Top 20 nationally 6-10 junior Thomas Hamilton who I think will be key to their season. Also 6-6 senior Nate Brooks, 6-2 senior Gabe Snider, and 6-2 senior Jordan Smith. Still Young needs a point guard, I think they will try 6-2 sophmore Miles Reynolds.  3) Proviso East(Maywood)- New Coach Donnie Boyce has a ready made talented team this season. Ring Leader will be 6-0 senior Keith Carter who is the table setter at point guard, also 5-9 senior Keith Nicholas and 5-9 junior Paris Lee both great knockdown shooters. Sterling Brown 6-4 junior(and brother of LA Laker Shannon Brown) does a little bit of everything. Tashaun Caroll 6-5 senior will hold down the middle. This team had a great summer but weaknesses are lack of depth and size could bring them down. 4) Curie(Chicago)- ring leader for this talented team is 6-8 sophmore Cliff Alexander who is a Top 10 sophmore nationally, also 6-3 senior Devin Foster,5-11 senior Paris Burns,5-8 senior Jibreel Jackson and they have another 6-9 sophmore will be a great tag team for Alexander. 5) Warren(Gurnee)- State 4A runnerup to Simeon has a great nucleus coming back. Leaders are 6-9 senior forward Nathan Boothe a Toledo commit and 6-8 senior forward Darius Paul along with JoVaugh Gaines 6-1 senior guard will be the leaders. They will need to find a 3 point shooter to loosen up defenses so teams cannot collapse on their inside players. I will have 6-10 coming up soon. God Bless everyone and Peace to the Creatures.

Have People Become Dumber??????????????

This phenomenon I see every day especially with drivers. People sitting at green lights, trying to run over pedestrians in crosswalks,stopping at pedestrian crosswalks when they don't have to,etc. It seems like people with the big time jobs are more stupid by the day. Also people going through no turn on red lights, then when there is not a no turn on red at the light they sit there!!!!!!!!!!! I think this is as a result of television, internet, and technology. People don't read books anymore, they take soundbites that are put on the internet and make them their life. Seems like folks have no common sense anymore. Example: I was taking my wife to work on Northwestern Campus, now I am driving my car down the street of her office, students are walking. None of them get out of the road to let me go down it, I have to blow my horn for them to get out of the way. Some had headphones on and some didn't. Is this just apathy? Or is it just people are getting dumber by the day? Now these are Northwestern University students, these are supposed to be the brightest of the bright in this country. Also you have black folks defending kids rights to wear their pants down!!!!!!!!! Have you looked at any of the commercials lately? Seems like they are being made by crackheads. Seems like the Bilderberg Group have brainwashed folks with drugs,sex,and alcohol. Meanwhile DUI is treated like it's okay to drink and drive. Also the tattoo craze is totally ridiculous, don't these folks know getting alot of those hurts their job prospects? If someone else has an answer as to why people seem to be getting dumber I would like to know? I think part of it is what is not taught in schools. Also that it seems like the majority of America has had some marijuana in their system at one time or another. Most don't know that marijuana kills your brain cells, but it seems to be mainstream now especially in the African American community.
